What is Deionised / DI Water?
Deionised water, or DI water, is water that has been purified to remove all dissolved ions, such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and chloride. This is achieved by passing water through special ion-exchange resins. These resins attract and remove the charged particles, or ions, from the water. As a result, deionised water is free of any electrically charged particles that could interfere with sensitive industrial processes, making it an ideal choice for applications that require high purity.
